NovelX alternative: long chapters, no tokens

What NovelX charges for

NovelX starts you with 10 tokens and then 5 a day. Chapters and character chat run on those tokens, and a narration or a standard image costs one each. Premium, monthly or yearly, makes chapters, chat and images unlimited and adds PDF and audio export. Its 3,000-word-plus “Deep Chapter” is only on the yearly plan.

What's free here instead

• Long chapters of about 3,500 words on a free account, no yearly plan needed
• Up to 30 stories a day with no tokens to count
• A story bible and editable memory, so later chapters keep the details straight
• Continue, rewrite and branch any chapter
• Markdown and text export for every story
• Heat, tone, pacing and point of view as separate settings, including second person (Y/N)

What NovelX does better

NovelX is more than a story writer. Premium includes AI images of your characters in several styles, chatting with characters, narration, and PDF and audio export. It also has a community of public stories and writer profiles. AI Smut Generator only writes, and it doesn't have pictures, chat or audio.

Switching from NovelX

Paste the premise of a NovelX story into the generator and choose “Long chapter”. Copy your character descriptions into the story bible once. If you had a favourite trope, its generator page opens with the right pacing already set.

When to stay with NovelX

If pictures of your characters, chat or narration are part of why you write, NovelX Premium does all three. If you want long written chapters without paying for them, AI Smut Generator is free.
